After reading your article titled anger takes over the capitol.I find it hard to believe that the Senate could pass a bill that as you put it a white male who wants to carry a weapon. Is the Senate racist and sexist or are you? I do not carry anything more than a Swiss Army knife.

Yours were interesting comments on the state of Georgia’s public education and the lack of intelligence of some of our past state superintendents. As a product of our state’s public education, I would like to pose a science question: We all know that everything in the universe consists of atoms whose nuclei are packed with positively charged protons. Thermodynamics dictate that “like” charges repel, yet all things hold together. If the atoms followed the “law”, then everything would melt in an unimaginable explosion. What holds the atom together?

Mr. Crawford, in reference to your article entitled “It Pays to Lead a State University,” the consolidation of eight state colleges into four was supposedly done for the sole purpose of saving money. Yet there has been no accounting for how much has been saved. The former Gainesville State College had a proud history which has been totally swallowed up by North Ga. College to form the University of North Georgia, and every one (including me) who worked at GSC called it a “hostile takeover.” If it was such a good idea, why don’t they consolidate UGA and Tech??
