Foltz to leave GPA; Lynch is his replacement

[private]The Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) announced Wednesday that Curtis J. Foltz will step down as executive director of the agency on June 30.

Griff Lynch, the GPA’s chief operating officer, has been named as Foltz’ replacement.

“In addition to record cargo growth, GPA, under Curtis’ leadership, modernized its terminals and developed operational practices that increased efficiency, improved safety and focused on environmental stewardship,” said Jim Walters, the GPA board chairman.

Foltz has been executive director for the past six years and was chief operating officer for the six years prior to that. He will be a consultant to the GPA for one year after his departure.
