New poll has Abrams leading Democratic race, 52% undecided

[private]Stacey Abrams leads Stacey Evans in a new poll of the Democratic race for governor, but with 52 percent of likely voters still undecided.

Abrams had nearly 33 percent of the vote to 15 percent for Evans in the poll commissioned by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and WSB-TV.

The poll shows there is plenty of room for both candidates to grow their support between now and the May 22 primary election.

There is even more room to grow in the race for lieutenant governor, where there is 20 percent support for Triana Arnold James and 10 percent for Sarah Riggs Amico.

The poll was conducted by the University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs from April 12-18 with a sample of 473 respondents and a margin of error of 4.5 percent.
